Every winter we dream about what you see in this page: summer, heat, fishing, swimming, bathing in the fountains, etc. And then it finally comes. At first we check weather forecasts every 40 minutes: we cannot wait for the real summer heat to begin. Slowly, gradually, day temperatures start to rise, and we urge our thermometers to get over the 25 C line. At last they oblige us... and keep going up and up. The 30 C mark is crossed, and at this point ungrateful people start to complain and dream about winter: the crunch of the snow under their feet, cozy evenings in an armchair at the fireplace, skiing, skating... and the opportunity to dream about summer on end.

Commonplace, you say? Well, yes, but so is the summer itself: after all, it comes back every 12 months, doesn’t it?
