The LNM Group is interested in investing into Ukraine’s metallurgy and carrying out joint projects, the company’s CEO Lakshmi Mittal said at a meeting with President Leonid Kuchma, reports the president’s press service. During the meeting Mr. Mittal said that his company is seriously interested in investing in metallurgy, simultaneously pointing out that it is prepared to carry out joint projects in Ukraine, the press service also reports. President Kuchma informed the LNM Group head on Ukraine’s economic situation, pointing out, inter alia, the stable growth of Ukraine’s economy. According to the presidential press service, the LNM Group is the world’s second largest industrial association, one of the world’s biggest steel producers with current capacity around 38 million tons, produced on 28 steel works in a number of countries. Its yearly turnover amounts around $10 billion. The industrial group delivers steel to almost 100 countries, including to leaders of the car-making, instrument-making, and machine-building industries.
