1994. Verkhovna Rada approved the law On Ukraine’s Joining the July 1, 1968 Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
November 17: 1920. Petr Wrangel’s army was defeated in the Crimea and the Southern Front liquidated.
1993. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.
November 18: 1935. The Warsaw trial began of twelve members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists with Stepan Bandera, Mykola Lebid, and Karpynets sentenced to death.
1993. Verkhovna Rada ratified the treaty on the reduction in START- 1 strategic offensive weapons.

1989. Human rights defenders Vasyl Stus, Yury Lytvyn, and Oleksa Tykhy, who died in Soviet death camps, were reburied in Kyiv.
