September 23:1919. At a joint session the governments of UNR and ZUNR decided to begin hostilities against Denikin immediately.
1989. The first issue of Slovo, organ of the Shevchenko Ukrainian Language Society, appeared.
September 24: 1993. A treaty was signed in Moscow on creating the Economic Union of CIS. Ukraine made public a declaration of its readiness to cooperate as an associate member based on a separate agreement.
