Kharkiv’s Kyivsky District Court has announced a break in the court trial in the case of ex-premier Yulia Tymoshenko, which concerns the activity of the corporation “United Energy Systems of Ukraine,” till November 13. According to UNIAN, a corresponding ruling was announced by the presiding judge Kostiantyn Sadovsky after he listened to the opinions of prosecutors and defense concerning the possibility to continue the proceedings without the accused. The next court session will start on November 13 at 10 a.m. Tymoshenko’s supporters met the court’s ruling with the shouts “Shame on you!” On the eve the ex-premier’s lawyer MP Serhii Vlasenko brought about a solicitation concerning the delay of the proceedings till Tymoshenko recovers. Vlasenko underlined that according to Article 249 of the Criminal Code, the trial should be postponed. He also suggested obliging the doctors to report about Tymoshenko’s complete recovery, and only after that appoint the date of the next court session.
