A nature protection action “Make a feeder – save a bird’s life” is being held in Lviv at the initiative of the Department of Environmental Protection. A contest is announced for the best feeder and the best ecological slogan. Students of high schools and out-of-school educational institutions are invited to take part in the action; they have to make feeders from recycled materials (waste) and to register at the addresses [email protected] or [email protected] till January 30 (the author’s name and surname, school, class, and age should be indicated) by submitting their slogan and a photograph of the feeder.
As the State Department of Environmental Protection in the Lviv region informed The Day, the results of the action will be summed up on February 3. The main criteria of evaluation are the following – a feeder that is most comfortable for birds, original use of waste as secondary raw materials and a successful ecological thematic slogan. The winner will be encouraged with a photo camera. It was also promised that none of the participants would be left without a present.
