On January 14 a concert called “Merry Christmas” will take place at the International Congress Center “Ukrainian House.” The program will be presented by the Ukrainski Barvy (Ukrainian Colors) ensemble, which invited celebrity guests to perform together.
It will be reminded that every winter for 15 years now the music project Ukrainian Colors has been holding Christmas concert-festivals and prepares new programs on an annual basis. The leader and the soloist of the ensemble is Oksana Stebelska (violin and vocal). Other members of the band include Roman Kuka (clarinet, vocal, and folk wind instruments), Viacheslav Filonov (violin and banjo), Mykhailo Kashuk (accordion).
Opera singer Olena Hrebeniuk and X-factor finalist Oleksandr Pavlik will also take part in the concert, as well as an orchestra and dancers. The festive evening will include a show of the collection of Cossack clothes “Otaman” and there will be a video sequence based on art works of Ukrainian and foreign artists.
Christmas music will be performed in various styles and genres, from classics and folklore to blues and jazz. Popular New Year’s hits will be performed, “White Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Let It Snow,” “Joy to the World,” “Jingle Bells,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Happy New Year,” as well as carols, folk songs and author’s music, instrumental music, original arrangement of famous works by Mykola Leontovych, Myroslav Skoryk, Vasyl Barvinsky, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Haendel. The famous song Shchedryk by Leontovych will sound in a new way.
