Playing and singing in a museum

December 3 through 13 the first Ukrainian Music Week Festival will be held in Kyiv

The action takes place at Mikhail Bulgakov Literary Memorial Museum. According to the organizers, the program of the forum includes a series of musical events that will change the traditional idea of modern Ukrainian music. The festival’s idea is to promote and attract more attention to the domestic arts.

The program includes over 60 events in total, involving about 50 Ukrainian musicians. The audience should expect a variety of performances, studio workshops, conferences, autograph sessions, tours behind the scenes of show business, presentations, contests, theme parties, exhibitions, and other events. At the festival’s opening a talented Ukrainian musician and composer Dmytro Shurov (Pianoboy) will play the legendary “white piano.” The guests are encouraged to come to the museum in costumes of Master and Margarita characters. Among the events there will also be performances by famous Ukrainian singers and bands: VV, TNMK, S.K.A.Y., O.Torvald, and others.
