A film festival is to open at the capital’s movie theater Kyiv today. The program will include last year’s best Polish films. The festival is masterminded by the Ukrainian Film Foundation together with the Polish Institute of Cinematic Art, the Pomorze Cinematic Foundation, and with support from the Ukraine 3000 Foundation.
The movies will be presented by the director Janusz Morgenstern, script writer Krzysztof Lukaszewicz, producer Wlodzimierz Niederhaus, and other Polish film artists.
The event will open with The Lesser Evil. After the show, the audience will be able to speak to its creators, the director Morgenstern and the producer Niederhaus.
The festival program features such films as General Nil by Ryszard Bugajski, Enen by Feliks Falk, Mall Girls by Katarzyna Roslaniec, How Much Does the Trojan Horse Weigh? by Juliusz Machulski, and Never Say Never by Wojciech Pacyna. They will be shown in three Ukrainian cities: Kyiv (15 through 21 April), Vinnytsia (17 through 23 April), and Donetsk (22 through 28 April).
