The world’s most famous soprano will come to Kyiv for the first time on February 14, to perform at the Ukraina Palace. By the way, she will become the world’s first megastar since the Ukrainian political crisis began to not cancel her tour, and the singer said she was looking forward to meeting the Ukrainian public. Sarah Brightman is an international superstar in the classical crossover genre with a stunning vocal range of more than three full octaves! Over 30 years of successful career, she has sold over 30 million records worldwide and is the first artist to have been invited twice to perform anthems at Olympics (with Liu Huang in Beijing and Jose Carreras in Barcelona). It is hard to imagine, but Brightman has only one unrealized dream. Still going strong despite being 53, the British pop diva sang in 2012 of space marine’s love story, and was so captivated by this role that decided to make an orbital trip herself. This is not a PR campaign, but a clear plan to become the first singer to record a song under weightlessness conditions. Thus, before trying on space suit, studying the technical side of spaceflight and conditioning the body for centrifuge training, astronaut-to-be Brightman decided to tour the world with concerts in support of her album Dreamchaser.

After all, spaceflight is a risky enterprise, and it brings more drama to the tour. Amid preparations for her mission, Brightman recorded a collection of new songs. She spent 2013 on the world tour in support of Dreamchaser, the English singer’s 11th studio album. Its music is as unhurried and smooth as Brightman’s voice, gently shimmering, bringing calm and serenity... Now the singer rarely records video clips. The lack of advertising does no harm to her million-strong disc sales, as she has won 180 gold and platinum awards in over 40 countries! All her concerts are sold out. Let us recall that Brightman conquered the world with her superb performance in the musical Cats by famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, now her ex-husband. For her work in Requiem, she won the Grammy in the category Best New Classical Artist, while the role of Christine in the thriller musical Phantom of the Opera brought her another sign of high appreciation, the Drama Desk Award. During her stellar career, the singer managed to perform with legendary vocalists Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, and Andrea Bocelli. This international music celebrity achieved success as a highly professional singer, actress, composer, and dancer.
