Following a sold-out world tour, the Fairytale Show Alice in Wonderland is being presented to Kyivites for the first time, as it is being hosted at the Sports Palace from December 20 through 24. The international team of 37 actors is presenting to the public a dynamic kaleidoscope of events, natural elements’ simulations using multimedia projections on LED screens larger than 70 square meters, laser shows and other special effects. Incidentally, one of the show’s participants, the Kyiv Shadow Theater Teulis, staged a mini performance on the Revolution of Dignity, the Euromaidan, and the last year’s events in Ukraine as it took part in an Italian talent show. Their skillful rendering of the “plastic story” brought them admiration and applause of the audience, recognition from the jury, and a place in the final of the show.
The production’s writer and director Maria Remniova won medals in circus arts three times, as she was a gold medalist of the International Circus Competition in Paris, was awarded a Golden Elephant at the International Circus Competition in Moscow, and got a silver medal at the Latino International Festival. The technical support of the show has been entrusted to silver medalist of the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo Serhii Vlasov.
The Fairytale Show is a fairy tale with elements of circus arts and incredible ballet acts that are the result of successful cooperation of three choreographers: Serhii Shakhno, Oleksandra Komyshova, and Yulia Sakharova.
The production involves acrobats soaring over the abyss as they perform spectacular stunts. The show’s 15 episodes are accompanied by enchanting surround sound music, played by soloist of the Equator musical and silver medalist of the national selection for Eurovision-2009 Denys Barkanov.
The Fairytale Show has world-famous actors on its cast, who hold many titles, like multiple European and world champion, master of sports in acrobatics, winner of the Bronze Clown prize at the Circus Festival in Monte Carlo Serhii Ivanov; soloist of the Voyage de la Vie Singapore show, master of sports in sport gymnastics Petro Nebrat; soloists of the German Fantissima Show, masters of sports in gymnastics Duo Gregori with their pair trapezoid stunt Magic Birds.
