Volodymyr Runchak, renowned Ukrainian composer and author of the New Music in Kyiv project, represented chamber concert compiled of the works by Ukrainian and Polish composers. Touch by Serhiy Zazhytko, as well as Homo Ludens II by Volodymyr Runchak, were written for the piano. Homo Ludens has been performed at many festivals and concerts of new music. The composition, as England’s Music Time reports, requires unique physical flexibility of the performer who has to switch quickly from keyboard to the strings, to play both in sitting and standing position. The task was carried out successfully by Svitlana Shabaltina.

Sonata for Accordion by Macej Zieli л nski was a required composition in the International Accordionists Contest program held in Wroclaw, 1997. Kyivans got an opportunity to enjoy Birds’ Flurry by Zbigniew BЧjarski, the amazing Good night for voice and instrumental ensemble by Henryk Mikolaj GЧrecki. As regards Swing Music by Kazimierz Sierocki, whose works are characterized by its dodecaphonism, punctuality, and aleatory, it showed that even a cello can be a percussion instrument, and an ordinary handkerchief with which a mouthpiece is been wiped can produce really musical sounds in the hands of a skillful trombonist.
