The Alley of Newlyweds was opened, and a forged tree of happiness was “planted,” in the capital’s Navodnytsky Park, where one can see the monuments of Kyiv’s founders — brothers Kyi, Shchek, Khoryv and their sister Lybid, Golos.ua informs.
Navodnytsky Park is a prized destination for newlyweds, who come to lay flowers and take pictures near the city’s founders. Here one can always see numerous wedding motorcades coming from the entire capital region.
Along one of the alleys commemorative plates are installed, where the recently married can inscribe their names and the wedding date. So, all the volunteers can immortalize the happiest event in life, for a price. In order to have a strong marriage forever, it is necessary to touch the leaves and hold the paradise apple on the Happiness tree.
The idea of the Newlywed alley belongs to municipal association Kyivzelenbud.
Later the enterprise plans to beautify Mariinsky park with the New Life Alley, where the parents will be able to immortalize the names of their children and express their wishes on white plates.
A Memorable Dates Alley is planned for anniversary plates.
