The event at the newspaper’s stand E03 will start today at 5 p.m., featuring the literary critic Volodymyr Panchenko, the historian Stanislav Kulchytsky and the long-time editor of The Day’s “Ukraina Incognita” and “History and I” sections Ihor Siundiukov. All three have compiled books for The Day’s Library series.

For instance, Panchenko presided over making of Wars and Peace, which has already become a cult publication, Kulchytsky was the editor-in-chief of Stalin and the Ukrainian Holodomor: Why Did He Exterminate Us?, while Siundiukov lent a hand with almost all issues of the series. These details were supposed to influence the readers’ decisions on which books to bring to the session and what line to queue in, although it should be said that there is no difference really, for every member of the trio sits on an informal “supervisory board,” whenever a new book is being created.
