March 2, 2016. Madrid. Members of the Ciudadanos (Citizens) Party congratulate their leader Albert Rivera during the debate that opened the parliament’s first session after the election held on December 20, 2015. The party entered the parliament for the first time, winning 40 seats. The Socialist Workers’ Party’s leader Pedro Sanchez, nicknamed El Guapo (The Handsome One in Spanish), signed a deal with this centrist political force to form a government. The Socialists and the Citizens hold between them 130 seats in the 350-seat legislature. Therefore, observers believe that their government is unlikely to win a vote of confidence which will take place late at night
