On January 19 the Leninsky District Court of Luhansk sentenced Roman Landyk to three years of imprisonment with a three-year respite. The hooligan-deputy was released in the courtroom. Injured Maria Korshunova and her advocate claimed that they were “satisfied with the sentence” and that the verdict of the court was fair.
However, users of social networks do not agree with this. They are out for Landyk’s blood and call him a “morally depraved person.”
Surprisingly, the eccentric deputy got an unexpected defender in the person of lieutenant general of police Hennadii Moskal: “The members of the Party of Regions really behave arrogantly in many regions. They felt themselves masters of life. That is why this general dissatisfaction with the Party of Regions spilled out to one person.”
What do you think an adequate sentence could be?
“I would give him 15 days of imprisonment for disorderly conduct. I would give him a broom and make him clean Luhansk. This is my opinion as a lawyer.
“If we took so seriously every conflict happening everyday in bars, restaurants, dance pavilions, and night clubs, if we reacted so categorically as the Party of Regions did we would probably have to multiply the number of prisons by 20-30 times.”
Actually, there are a lot of questions to the injured. This girl practically exchanged her dignity for money.
“Yes. She admitted that she had received moral and material compensation. Which court can deliver an actual sentence to a person that has never been convicted if the injured does not have any complaints?
“Tell me how it happened that the next day the video from the restaurant was demonstrated at every television channel. Who placed it on the Internet? However, nobody says who was driving a Bentley that crashed eight cars in Khreshchatyk and knocked down the traffic-controller. It is the secrecy of investigation. But it turns out that Landyk does not come within the secrecy of investigation!
“It was a show – hit your friends so that your enemies were afraid of you. These are the intraparty showdowns that started after Tykhonov was fired and sent to Belarus as an ambassador, to the alternate airfield and then they attacked Landyk... He is not a golden youth. He is 37. He is a mature man.”
What grudge does Yefremov have against Landyk? Yefremov has a very good position in the party.
“Good position? He is going to be thrown to the majoritarian district. Today nobody wants to vote for the Party of Regions in Luhansk.
“You know, the intraparty strife between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko was much more civilized than the one within the Party of Regions. Yushchenko and Tymoshenko abused each other. Everyone saw and heard it. However, they did not resort to courts and criminal cases.”
And now we have bulldogs fighting under the carpet.
“I can tell the authors of this blockbuster that they lost their mind. There is a struggle within each party. They gathered the other day, called Azarov and flogged him. As far as I know they had not even snap, they just shouted at each other. They could have done the same with Landyk. If they had any questions they could have call him and talk… But using children in the intraparty strife, I think it does not do credit to anyone.”
