1921: Soviet Ukraine’s Radnarkom adopts a decree on the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (VUAN).

1940: The Radnarkom and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine resolve to resettle 31,600 Ukrainian collective farmers in Siberia and Kazakhstan.

1941: TASS refutes rumors about the possibility of war between the Soviet Union and Germany.

1961: The Soviet of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR resolves to deny government protection of 364 religious architectural sites.

1994: Ukraine and the European Union sign a partnership agreement in Luxembourg, marking a new phase in Ukraine’s relations with the EU.
