1927: The Radnarkom of the Ukrainian SSR passes a decree on aid to itinerant Gypsies wishing to adopt a “settled working lifestyle.”

1944: The State Defense Committee of the USSR resolves to rebuild the Vladimir Lenin Hydropower Station on the Dnipro.

1944: The Central Committee of the CP(B) of Ukraine and the Radnarkom of the Ukrainian SSR adopt a decree providing for the employment, retraining, pensions, and communal and social protection of the disabled veterans of the “Great Patriotic War.”

1954: A plenary meeting of the CC CPSU is called to order, to adopt a resolution on the mastering of the virgin lands and fallow soils.

1967: The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR adopts a decree conferring the title “Hero of Socialist Labor” on the Ukrainian writers, Oleksandr Korniichuk and Pavlo Tychyna.
