1914: Ukrainian political parties join together to form the Supreme Ukrainian Council in Lviv.

1914: Command Center of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen is organized to coordinate the Sich Legion’s operations.

1918: Hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky of Ukraine adopts a law establishing foundation sustaining the National Library of the Ukrainian State.

1940: The Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR adopts a law reorganizing the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, then part of Ukraine, as the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, including some Ukrainian territories, annexing North Bukovyna, Khotyn, Akerman, and Izmail provinces of Bessarabia.

1990: The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine imposes a moratorium on the construction of nuclear power plants and super-power radars.

1990: Days of Cossack Glory are celebrated in Dnipropetrovsk, in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Ukrainian Cossack movement.
