Den/The Day announces the express photo competition “Election Day’s Most Interesting Photo”

In their letters, Den/The Day readers always prove their journalist-style power of observation and the ability to catch and interpret crucial details. This ability is important for those who work with the word and those who do visual work, i.e., for photo correspondents. Details hide not only the devil but also the most interesting and symptomatic things, especially when it is about such a seemingly dull and monotonous thing as elections. Polling stations – ballots – ballot boxes… So, concurrently with the readers’ photo competition “Winter Photo as a Keepsake,” which will continue by a popular vote, Den/The Day announces the express competition “Election Day’s Most Interesting Photo.” Unlike the former, this one requires more wit, quickness, and observation power. Although its name sounds far less poetical, this photo contest opens up new opportunities for the readers of Den/The Day who wish to show their talent. This is what The Day is urging you to do!

Please send the most interesting photos inspired by the first and second rounds of the presidential elections to the address [email protected] within a week after the momentous day and receive prizes from our newspaper.

The most successful photos accompanied by journalists’ texts will reproduce the true picture of the 2010 Ukrainian elections on the pages of our newspaper.

Yours faithfully, Maria TOMAK and Den/The Day
