The International Organization for Migration Mission in Ukraine organized an art-event that included documentary, art and photo exhibits. The heroes of the documentaries were Ukrainian artist Akbar Khurasani, a refugee from Afghanistan, and Erik Vakiv, participant of the famous “So You Think You Can Dance” TV show in Ukraine. The documentaries were presented on February 19, 2011, in the M 17 Kyiv Center of Contemporary Art (102-104 Antonovycha Str). Khurasani also presented some of his art works, including the painting Two Motherlands: Afghanistan and Ukraine, which is mentioned in the film. During the event, the visitors had an opportunity to see the best amateur works from the “Citizen of the World” Facebook photo competition. The exposition was open for visitors on February 19. Documentaries were shown every hour starting from 4 p.m. Entrance was free.
