Pope to Visit Ukraine in Two Years
The Apostolic See accepted an invitation for Pope Benedict XVI to visit Ukraine in 2012. The exact date is currently being negotiated, UNIAN reports. Archbishop Mechyslav Mokshytsky disclosed this information during the IV work meeting of the Catholic bishops of Ukraine, the Religious-Information Service of Ukraine reports. In 2012 the Lviv Archdiocese will celebrate the 600th anniversary of transferring the Episcopal capital from Halych to Lviv. According to the archbishop, the Roman Catholic Church of Ukraine will pray in hopes that the Pope would participate in the celebration.
World Quality Standards Promised to Donetsk Hotel Kyiv for Euro-2012
The Proekt-2012 Company (Donetsk), a member of the ESTA group, completed its purchase of the integral property complex of Kyiv hotel, which is situated in the Voroshylov district of Donetsk, the company’s press service informs. Moreover, the ESTA group committed itself to bring Kyiv hotel up to international quality standards. “Hosting the guests of the 2012 Europe championship at the press hleasequates Mykola Nesterenko ESTA Holding’s CEO, as saying, “today we pledge to restore hotel Kyiv in Donetsk. We are convinced that our experience will assist us in creating a high-class hotel, that will meet global standards.” According to the press release, the designing of the reconstruction concept is in its final stage and will be approved soon. Total sum of the operation is 24.6 mln hryvnias.
