Den’, parent publication of The Day, is celebrating its sixth anniversary next week. Needless to say, the occasion will be marked by hundreds of thousands of readers and friends. From your letters the Editors know that this publication has become a place to communicate, share impressions, seek and give advice. We carry some of your letters in our Readers Sound Off and some of you have been contributing on a regular basis. In a word, we are making our Day together. Some of you must wonder how this newspaper is done, how its staff works, how it selects topics, why people take up journalism, and learn about some tricks of the trade. There is a host of questions, of course, and now you can satisfy your curiosity. We hope you will use this opportunity to see the newspaper from our side of the proofs.
We promise to carry answers to your questions in the jubilee issue on September 13 in Ukrainian and Russian and in English on September 17. We also promise to surprise you by our frankness.
Please to send your questions, by September 7, to The Day at 2-L Tymoshenko St., Kyiv 04212, Ukraine; e-mail: master@day.kiev.ua. Please mark it “questions to journalists.”
