Traditionally the podium program was launched by a collection of the famous Ukrainian designer Lilia Pustovit. URBAN MOSAIC (under such name POUSTOVIT Studio demonstrated its view on fashion of the spring-summer season) impressed the audience with its gentleness and delicacy. This is probably the most feminine of all the latest collections made by Pustovit. Light silk dresses and volumetric models of cotton, made in a minimalist manner, a special feature of the brand, decorated with an ornament of Ukrainian embroidery, in some variations looked even sacred. During the press briefing the designer said that in her new collection she used copyright prints and fabric of the POUSTOVIT Studio. And the fact that she made the emphasis on national symbols is not an accident. The designer got inspiration for creating the patterns from a combination of the basic elements of national embroidery of Western Podilla and Vinnytsia region: diamonds, stars, and a combination of straight and tilted crosses. Therefore, POUSTOVIT clothes in the new season are not just an outfit, but an amulet. “And it works regardless of whether you believe in it or not,” the designer summed up.
Within the framework of the Ukrainian Fashion Week the audience has already seen collections of the following designers: Viktoria Hres, Tetiana Zemskova and Olena Vorozhbyt, Viktor Anisimov, Nadia Dziak, Anna Bublyk, Natalia Kamenskykh and Olesia Kononova, Volodymyr Podolian and Olha Alionova. Ukrainian designers state that femininity is back in fashion.

“This is our first visit to Kyiv. And the city is very nice. We are impressed by both the level of the Ukrainian Fashion Week and by creativity of Ukrainian designers. We already have a strong desire to collaborate with designers, whose collections we saw today. For example, we would like to work with Lilia Pustovit, Olena Burenina, and Viktor Anisimov. They have tremendous potential. We look forward to an interesting collaboration and the chance to see the names of your designers in the schedules of fashion weeks. We would like to make the world know not only the French and Italian fashion.”
