Her name stands next to the iconic figure of contemporary art – American artist Andy Warhol and is also on the list of the 1,000 best contemporary artists of the world according to the ranking of the Art Price and Le Figaro.

Natacha Toutain, a daughter of a talented artist, inherited her father’s boundless love for painting, sculpture, and everything connected with art in general. Already at the age of four she created her first art works. Later Toutain illustrated children’s books, worked as a stylist for such prestigious brands as Absorba and Petit Bateau. Along with the profession of designer, she continued to make paintings in the “nu” genre and portraits. Meeting Alain Bernardin, founder of the legendary Parisian cabaret Crazy Horse, was crucial to her future career. He suggested to organize an exhibition of Toutain’s works in his studio, where she painted girls-dancers. The artist began to paint with oil rather quick and from then on does not depart from this technique.

The master decided to devote her creative work to painting portraits of iconic figures of the world, especially the stars of American movies – Marilyn Monroe (by the way, her father’s favorite actress), Robert Redford, Paul Newman – the people who influenced the formation of her personality in childhood. Today, Toutain holds exhibitions in the trendiest galleries of Paris. Legendary movie stars – Alain Delon, Claudia Cardinale, Clint Eastwood, and Leslie Caron come to her vernissages. World leaders entrusted her with making their portraits, for example, the King of Morocco, King and Queen of Jordan. In her works the artist focuses on the profiles of her characters, famous actors, public figures, and athletes, she tries to convey different aspects of their personality. One of the special features of her paintings is the unfinished space, a kind of a window into the future, a sign of dynamism, movement to the inside, and commitment to excellence.
