Within the framework of The Days of Sweden in Lviv the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts is hosting the exhibit “Creative Women: Inventions and Innovations from Sweden.”

“Usually people have a stereotypical notion of inventors — what they look like and how they work. But this notion does not correspond to reality. Today, when equality is increasing, as is the overall accessibility of scientific and technical education, there are no grounds in many countries of the world for women’s achievements to remain in the shadows. Focusing on women’s creative work, the exhibit presents the most significant of the latest patented inventions, explores prototypes and less known creations that offer innovative solutions,” the organizer of the interactive exhibit Liubov Maksymovych explained.

The exposition is a part of the joint project of the Swedish Institute, the National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, Sweden’s Embassy to Ukraine, the West-Ukrainian Center Women’s Prospects (Lviv), the Institute of Ethnography at the NAN of Ukraine, and Zonta Club Lviv-Zamok. Furthermore, the event is taking place owing to the assistance of the Lviv City Council.
