Meeting US Senator John McCain at the 53rd Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian Parliament Member Svitlana Zalishchuk presented him with a T-shirt that bears the picture of a Russian jackboot with which Putin is trying to trample on Europe after annexing the Ukrainian Crimea and occupying a part of the Donbas. In a commentary for The Day, Zalishchuk said McCain had promised to wear this T-shirt and continue to support Ukraine in the US Congress. “Besides, we presented McCain with a fragment of the Russian T-90 tank’s 125-mm high-expolsive and antipersonnel projectile found 200 meters from the Avdiivka hospital,” Zalishchuk says. “The Russians shelled the area on January 31 this year. This fragment is another piece of convincing evidence of Russian aggression. I requested the senator to raise the question of Russia-backed escalation in the Donbas at the US Congress after coming back from Munich.”
