Pasqual Commends Decision by Ukraine’s NDSC

US Ambassador Carlos Pasqual highly commended the decision of Ukraine’s National Defense and Security Council to give military and transport aircraft of the US Armed Forces access to Ukraine’s airspace. Mr. Pasqual made this statement at the September 27 meeting with Presidential Administration Head Volodymyr Lytvyn. The diplomat also expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Ukraine and the USA in the effort to combat international terrorism, the global threat of the twenty-first century. Mr. Lytvyn expressed gratitude to the USA for the support Ukraine has received from the IMF, which has resumed loans to Ukraine under the extended financing facility (EFF) program, and the World Bank’s first programmed systemic loan.
