The exposition is located at Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery. “The authors of the works are young photographers who tried to bring to us their deep emotions, the feelings connected with the breakage in the order of continuation of the kin caused by the loss of the son,” says the curator of the project Khrystyna BEREZOVSKA, “Our action is also a requiem: memory about those who were killed and quiet ‘thank you’ to their families.” Over 20 panorama monumental black-and-white photo portraits of fathers are on display. The visitors also have an opportunity to watch a documentary based on the author video and audio shooting conducted during the meetings in Lviv and in towns and villages of the oblast with the families of 20 killed servicemen. The film also uses the photos and video materials from private archives. The main purpose of the project, the organizers say (Lviv National Art Gallery and the advertisement agency “Gold Ideas”), is bringing up the youth on the example of concrete heroes. After the presentation in Lviv the project will be on display abroad, in the centers of culture of Ukrainian Diaspora.”
