Lviv — The Lviv Archeparchy, Internet portal “Catholic observer” and the Department of Culture of Lviv’s Municipal Council have started selecting photographs for the “Pope with my own eyes” exhibition. “The photo exhibit will be held on the occasion of the celebration of John Paul’s II beatification and the tenth anniversary of the Holy Father’s visit to Ukraine,” the exhibit’s organizers told The Day. “All willing are invited to participate, regardless of age or religious belonging.” Photos are accepted both in digital ([email protected]) and printed forms (79013, Lviv, 12/12 St. Politekhnichna, Portal “Catholic observer.” With the heading: The exhibition “Pope with my own eyes”). Photos can be also passed through parsons in the temples of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC. The photos’ plot is not limited and may depict a variety of events from the life and service of the Holy Father (pilgrimages, visits, audiences, meetings with youth, etc). The organizers ask to indicate the author’s name, place and date of shooting, along with a brief description of the depicted event in an appendix to the photo. Photos without authorship will not be accepted. The images will be directly uploaded to the website of the “Catholic observer” portal, and the most interesting ones will be printed in the archeparchial newspaper The Purpose.
