The official website of Ukrainian President Kuchma has been opened on the Internet www.kuchma.gov.ua. The site hosts Leonid Kuchma’s biography and excerpts from the Constitution establishing the status and authority of the head of state. The option Decrees and Instructions will direct you to one of the last presidential orders, On Additional Measures to Secure the Unimpeded Performance of the Mass Media and Further Asserting the Freedom of Expression in Ukraine. The option Speeches will include texts of the recent much-discussed speeches by the head of state, the option Photo Archive offers photo records of recent foreign policy actions, Interfax-Ukraine reports. The site will also offer an Question- Answer option where every visitor will be able to ask Leonid Kuchma a question. Also within a week leading Presidential Administration functionaries will answer questions on various issues. You will also be offered the opportunity to take part in a poll. Currently visitors are asked to express their impressions of the president’s participation in the Minsk CIS summit. The site was developed by the web designers of Angel Studio and will be updated daily. Hosting and support is provided by the Ukrsat Company. Presidential Press Secretary Oleksandr MARTYNENKO states that the site is aimed at making the president’s activities more transparent and open.
