The Lviv-based photo exhibit “Den-2014” has come to an end. The employees of the Palace of Arts, where the exposition was on display, said that the number of the visitors was “way over the limit.” And they were active not only in observation, but also consuming of intellectual product – many of them left the halls with newly bought books from Den’s Library. One of the books that enjoyed the greatest demand was the newly published Ukraine Incognita. TOP 25.

Olha LUTKOVSKA, deputy director on scientific-artistic work of the Lviv Palace of Arts, said: “Very different people came to the exhibit: from the leading executives of Lviv to youngest schoolchildren. That was a really powerful and popular exhibit, both at the opening and later. I saw that many people came to the exposition in groups from different educational institutions. It is pleasant that young people take interest in this. Everyone revealed something new at the exhibit. That was a holiday for us, both in the fact that the exhibit was opened and that many people attended it. Unfortunately, this is a rare thing these days, because people don’t pay much attention to this. This is a merit of the newspaper Den for recommending it in such a good way. There is no doubt, the atmosphere was artistic.”

On May 14 Den’s Photo Exhibit is opening in Uzhhorod. The westernmost oblast center of Ukraine will be receiving the exposition of the best photos of the international photo competition of our publication. People in Uzhhorod have been waiting for a long time for a live meeting with Den. The days of our publication will be held here at the invitation of the head of Zakarpattia Oblast Council Volodymyr Chubirko and with the support of the Uzhhorod National University and Zakarpattia Yosyp Bokshai Art Museum, which will be housing the exposition.

This week Zakarpattia will be able to see the best photos from the photo competition of the newspaper. Part of the pictures is dedicated to the main events of the past year, the Revolution of Dignity in Maidan and the war in the east of the country. In the focus there are people who are creating history today. I am sure that the exhibit will be interesting for a broad circle of local residents,” Chubirko noted. On the whole, Uzhhorod is the sixth city which has invited Den this year. Before that our photo exhibit was seen in Odesa, Poltava, Cherkasy, Lutsk, and Lviv.

The residents of Uzhhorod and numerous guests of the city, the number of whom is gradually increasing in the last days of spring, will be able to see about 180 photos, authored by both professional and amateur photographers.
