A 45-day program of youth exchanges called Ship for World Youth Leaders, sponsored and organized by the Japanese government, started yesterday in Tokyo, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Japan Ihor Kharchenko wrote on his Facebook page. “It is a case when you would like to be not the one who greets but the one who is greeted. Today’s Ukrainian team – the pictured one – is one of the ten that represent all the populated continents in this program and the only one from our old Europe. In addition to Ukraine’s representatives, teams from Egypt, Canada, India, the Kingdom of Tonga, Costa Rica, Kenya, Fiji, Brazil, and New Zealand will soon set sail from Yokohama to the Pacific waters on a ship of world youth leaders. Our wonderful boys and girls are eager to do their best so that everybody knows in the remotest nooks of the world that Ukraine is cool and positive,” he pointed out.
