The photo exhibit will be opened on Friday, September 16, at 11 a.m. Together with photographer Serhii Us, Awareness will show how desperately the architectural gems of the city, which once used to adore it, feel now. Caring female residents of Kyiv of various ages are the souls of the buildings. The caption under each photo tells the idea of the photo and presents the short history of the building, compiled by the well-known researcher of Kyiv Mykhailo Kalnytsky.
The action’s organizers want to remind the officials of their promise to consider the draft law on personification of the responsibility for the negative affects caused by violation of construction norms, standards, and regulations while projecting a house, project examination, and construction of the objects. The promise was given back in winter by the government, parliament, and president, when they cancelled any restrictions for the constructors, in spite of the people’s protests. As a result of passiveness Kyiv may finally turn into a bad copy of Manhattan, the Awareness activists consider and invite everyone for the opening of the exhibit.
