Russian Federation Ambassador to Ukraine Viktor CHERNOMYRDIN maintains that claims of possible falsification of Ukraine’s upcoming elections might have a made to order character. He made a statement to this effect on March 13 following a meeting with Ukraine’s Agrarian Sector Minister Ivan Kyrylenko in Kyiv, informs Ukraina.ru. “If they (talks about possible falsification of elections. – Ed.) enjoy support here, then this serves somebody’s ends. And this person is beginning to lay the groundwork for a Balkan scenario in Ukraine,” Mr. Chernomyrdin declared. He also said that so far Russia has not faced such a turn of events. “This is very dangerous, the more so for such a state as Ukraine,” he said.
