According to the deputy chairman of the State Tax Administration Vadym Kopylov, violations of tax legislation by subjects of the economic activity in 1998 were over one and a half times those of last year. He reports that the recently carried out audits detected various violations, which led to considerable financial damage. In particular, in the gas sector it totals Hr 4.3 billion and in energy Hr 2 billion. Charges were brought in 67 cases, based on the results of audits made, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
