US Republican party presidential nominee Ted Cruz won the internal party election in Utah. Among the Democrats, Bernie Sanders won the elections in Utah and Idaho, while Hillary Clinton won in a landslide in Arizona. Thus, Cruz, who is supported by former governor of Florida Jeb Bush lately, won 9 states so far, to his main rival for the Republican nomination, billionaire Trump’s 19 victories. Sanders won in 11 states, while former US Secretary of State Clinton, also running in the Democratic race, stands at 18. Clinton has 1,681 delegates at the moment to Sanders’s 927, with 2,383 delegate votes needed to win the nomination at the Democratic convention. Trump has 739 delegates now to Cruz’s 465 and Kasich’s 143. To be nominated at the Republican convention, a candidate needs to enlist the support of 1,237 delegates.
