Ukraine’s Viktoria Pohorielska won the 25th women’s race, held on June 19 in Berne, Switzerland. In his statement at a briefing, the spokesman of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Dykusarov said the race was attended by over 14,000 athletes from around the world. Dykusarov noted that Pohorielska became the first Ukrainian to win the Swiss women’s race, UNIAN reports. “This victory has helped to create a positive image of Ukraine in the international arena and to expand our country’s presence in the European information space,” he added.
