A Ukrainian woman. An optimistic story

26 March, 2015 - 11:48

Route No. 1. A Ukrainian woman. An optimistic story is the 30th issue, but the first one this spring. We have dedicated it to the Ukrainian Woman, a new image and new character of Ukrainian woman, which have been shaped under the influence of the recent events. Not only heroes are shaping the new history of Ukraine, but heroines too. Very different, coming from various spheres of life, they are all united by dignity. Our new Route tells about these women. Den’s creative team has prepared a lot of interesting materials for the readers. Moreover, this issue should be kept in a home archive, because it contains many things that will soon become the common history of Ukrainians. For example, the story of three courageous women, Nadia Savchenko, her sister Vira, and their mother Maria. Where do these women take so much patriotism, courage, and willpower?

Or photo sessions and fashion boutiques in the morning, family comfort and favorite hobby – icon painting     – in the evening. This is the beginning of the story about Ms. Ukraine 2013 Anna Zaiachkivska. She was treating the activists in the Maidan to sandwiches and hot borshch, and then was saving lives as part of the Medical Sotnia. Today she is helping to raise funds for the needs of the soldiers. The readers will learn more about the model business, Maidan, volunteering, and the balance between the professional and spiritual things firsthand. Young politician and a civic activist Hanna Hopko tells about the new image of Ukrainian woman and women in politics, who are worthy examples. And TV host Katia Osadcha shares her “optimistic story” and the formulas of happiness and harmony.

Read in the article “On synergy of innovation and femininity, or how to become a Ukrainian Ada Lovelace” about women in the sphere of innovative technologies. The fresh issue of Route No. 1 offers as well an infographics, which has become a traditional part by now. This time it is dedicated to Emancipation, Ukrainian way, and presents the main historical facts connected with recognition of some or other rights of women, as well as interesting data from the life of modern women in Ukraine.

This is far from everything Den has prepared for the readers of the Route. On its pages you will find even more interesting facts and stories for the spring inspiration.
