This was stated by Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych in his Thursday speech delivered at Ukraina Palace, which carried an appeal to the people, summarizing 100 days of his work in office.
“We have created the grounds for setting a new course towards profound reforms and systemic modernization of the country, embracing all spheres of social life and completing the new wave of the necessary socio-economic transormation. I am reporting that we are seeing the first positive trends in the national economy, business activity and industrial production are gradually growing, the tension in the financial sector is dropping, the job market is reviving, and jobs are increasing in number. Within a short period of time we have managed to stabilize relations with Ukraine’s key partners, the EU, US, and Russia. We entered a qualitatively new level of dialogue and cooperation with international organizations and institutions. Ukraine has confirmed its nuclear-free status, and that it is actively combating the proliferation of nuclear materials and technologies. We have made a substantial advancement on our way towards signing the Association Agreement with the EU. As a result, Ukraine is regaining the trust of investors and world creditors.”
