2004: The Washington Times reads: “The United States has denied an entry visa to one of the most high-profile supporters of a Ukrainian presidential candidate backed by the Kremlin and the country’s current leader, Leonid Kuchma, and has put other allies of the candidate on the U.S. visa watch list.”

Nov. 19 1991: The 1st All-Ukrainian Interconfessional Forum convenes in Kyiv.

2004: President George Bush calls for measures to secure free and fair presidential elections in Ukraine.

Nov. 20 1917: The Ukrainian National Republic (UNR) is proclaimed.

1994: The Ukrainian-US Partnership, Friendship and Cooperation Charter is signed during Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma’s visit to the United States.
