On December 19, 2016 the Ministry of Education and Science started the distribution among secondary schools of the computers received from China under the deal between the governments of the two countries, reports www.kmu.gov.ua.

The state has paid for the installing of licensed versions of Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, Microsoft Office, and anti-virus software on these computers. Moreover, they are equipped with programs which will allow to control their use for educational purposes. All the works are performed by Navigator Corporation LLC, a winner of the tender held by the open public procurement system ProZorro.

The allotment of personal computers across Ukraine is proportional to the numbers of schoolchildren in each region (according to the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 916 of August 8, 2016). Each oblast distributes them further according to the needs of secondary schools (according to the decisions of the oblast state administrations and the Kyiv City State Administration).

In total, more than 2,400 secondary schools will get new computers. The process will be monitored by the education ministry jointly with the oblast state administrations and the Kyiv City State Administration.
