“A challenge for Ukrainian Heracles”

New Route No. 1 contains all you need to know about our Superman
15 March, 2016 - 11:34

Spring! It’s about time to talk about... men. Statesman, soldier, businessman, volunteer, diplomat, social activist – all these images are explored in a new way by the March issue of Route No. 1. “Every era has its own hero. But when a country faces real life-or-death challenges (and a threat of physical, national disaster), above all the need arises in people of duty, honor, and dignity. It is a phrase very rarely used these days, but what we need the most now is people of morals. My hero is a person who knows what conscience is and who can go against the current, who can act when everybody around acts the other way. That person should have the moral imperative within them to say: no, I’m different,” writes Larysa Ivshyna, Den/The Day’s editor-in-chief, in her column. Thus, our glossy sets a new example, not only by showing those who set the bar high, but also telling how it should be done by oneself. Exclusively for the Route No. 1, statesman Yevhen Marchuk told about his “7D of strategic thinking” and “secret optimism.”

In order to care for the stronger gender, the team of Route No. 1 (which, incidentally, is largely made up of women!) has gathered many lifehacks: which places on the planet are suited best for the biggest daredevils, what is the breakfast of the real man, how to grow a superb beard – because it is bearded men, as it turns out, who attract the most attention from women in society. The issue “Superman. Ukrainian version” expands the horizon, exploring the peculiarities of men’s education in different countries – how the gentlemen and samurai are made.

Which men should be given flowers? What “trinket” must Ukrainians do to qualify for membership in the British Commonwealth? The answers to these questions are in the new Route No. 1.
