It is sometimes surprising to see a person pay big money, fulfilling their dream of owning a German shepherd, while other people simply abandon their canine friends. Domesticated dogs that rely heavily on man usually cannot survive in the streets. Some of them are lucky — people pick them up expecting that someone is looking for them. Unfortunately, the owners often do not turn up. Then a dilemma arises, what to do with a thoroughbred dog that somebody once bought, but that was later thrown out for lack of time, money, or kindness.
If your dream is a German shepherd, a team helping German shepherds offers very good dogs looking for new, reliable and caring hosts. All the dogs in our shelter have undergone quarantine and the tests necessary to prove that they can live with people — they are vaccinated and sterilized. They all are German shepherds: the most loyal and clever dogs in the world.
It was back in February that we found Kliopa in the suburbs. This young (roughly one-year-old), active, people-loving dog would gladly find an owner seeking a reliable friend and guard, with a private house and well-arranged enclosure. Kliopa does not like cats or other dogs, but she loves children and can play with them for hours.
Yuna lived in a Kyiv yard with her four pups. Unfortunately, not all of them have survived. Hoping for help, Yuna brought them closer to people, which was fatal for the little ones. Volunteers learned about the dog when she came to the entrance of a high-rise building, protecting her last pup. Now Yuna’s offspring is living in a new house, while the young mother (about one-year-old) hopes to find a decent master.
Lada was betrayed. As an old dog she was brought to the city center and left on a sidewalk. She waited for her masters, being afraid to make a single move. The dog was exhausted and sick. Lada underwent surgery, her health improved, and she turned from an ailing street creature into a wonderful, clever and domesticated dog. But Lada is not that old, and we are sure that this will not be a problem — Lada wants nothing more than to be a good person’s faithful servant.
Hosha is an extremely good-looking dog: a chic, shaggy German shepherd, handsome and smart. Now he’s a looker, but he was in a pitiful state when we found him. His former hosts brought the sick dog out to the forest during severe frosts. German shepherds with long hair look wonderful, but they need more attention than those with shorter hair. Hosha is not a guard dog, he is a friend, a companion — he will give you so much positive energy that his charge of cheerfulness will stay with you for long. But he needs your time: you should feed him well, comb his hair, and pay attention to his health as Hosha has an eczema and needs a regular treatment.
Kira came to the shelter as a little pup: her owner did not manage to sell his pups, and simply left them at the shelter when he went on holiday. Kira was very ill and has undergone a lengthy treatment. She fought for her life, recovered, and forgot about her troubles. She is a very nice looking German shepherd pup, careless and restless, joyful and energetic. We would like her to find a caring and reliable family.
Please, if you are ready to become a reliable host for one of the abovementioned dogs, call the following number: 067 446 19 73.
