Bukva Store, a popular Ukrainian bookstore in Toronto, sees an increasing demand for the books from Den’s Library. Ukrainian Canadians eagerly read our historical bestsellers: Ukraine Incognita and The Power of the Soft Sign. And recently, the past year’s novelties have also hit the shelves, namely the historical book Return to Tsarhorod, as well as every publication from the journalistic triptych: “The Trap,” or A Case Without a Statute of Limitations; I, an Eyewitness. Notes from the Occupied Luhansk; and Catastrophe and Triumph. The Stories of Ukrainian Heroes. Remarkably, bookstores in Ukraine itself have already sold out all, but a few copies of the journalistic triptych.

“Den’s Library has some very interesting publications,” says Yurii Kus, owner of the bookstore in the letter of response, which we have just received from Canada. “Many thanks to you. I will submit your books to Toronto Public Library.” Mr. Kus also sent a photographic proof of the demand our books are raising: as he had just received the parcel from Den, the first customer came to buy a book from it at once. “This guy’s job is the installation and repair of roofs, but he is very interested in history,” writes Yurii. “The Tsarhorod has simply fascinated him!”
