Photos and biographies of 800 soldiers, police officers, and volunteer militiamen who died in eastern Ukraine have been affixed to the walls of St. Michael’s Monastery in Triokhsviatytelska Street. It is a joint project of the National Military History Museum and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kyiv Patriarchate).
Den/The Day, too, has been commemorating the soldiers killed in the anti-terrorist operation area for a year already by publishing their stories. Our special section “They Died for Us” features over 100 stories of those who fought and died for the unity of Ukraine... Read it, please, remember them, and if the occasion arises, lay flowers and light a candle at the Wall of Memory.
