Ten works by artist Roman Bonchuk, an author of the Heavenly Hundred and other well-known canvases, will be auctioned off. The auction will take place in the end of February in Ivano-Frankivsk. The money received from the sale will be used for special needs of the fosterlings of the charity foundation “Dim Sirka” (House of Sirko).

The author of the works said that he has been concerned with the destiny of homeless animals for a long time. He personally keeps and feeds several dogs, because understands the difficult situation in which they have found themselves. He notes that the number of stray animals is increasing in the streets. This is a result of many factors, in particular, the unwillingness of the owners to spend money for food and treatment of the dogs, which is why they turn their pets out.

“The head of the ‘Dim Sirka’ organization Natalia Kohut finds the money to keep the animals in different sources,” Bonchuk says. “Some of the dogs need treatment; puppies require increased attention and extra expenditures. This is topped by everyday expenses for feeding the animals and rent of the land plot.”

According to the artist, the auction will draw attention of the community to the problems of stray animals. The formula of healthy society is helping fellow creatures, Roman Bonchuk emphasizes. Natalia Kohut notes that the money from the sale of the canvases will be spent for buying special equipment for dogs which were overrun by cars or suffered serious diseases. She says that Bonchuk has donated his pictures from different exhibits. Some of them are quite costly, so she hopes that the auction will give an opportunity to buy the necessary equipment and medicines.
