Ethnic jewelry

The exhibition is called “Geography.” According to i-pro.kiev.ua, in her new jewelry collars Slava Saliuk moves slightly away from her usual, mostly Hutsul motives, and shifts the emphasis from the local content to global symbolism. This exhibition is the result of “the delight in unexpected, but indisputable similarity of ethnic details, regardless of geography, culture, civilization, religion, or color.” The exhibition also offers a kind of journey through time and space, showing similarity through otherness. It will remain open through May 8.
