Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes, there is the least of real liberty
Henry M. Robert

EVERYTHING BREATHES WITH FREEDOM

25 December, 2001 - 00:00

While you still can walk – you must travel. I convinced myself that this phrase is true after traveling around 4000 kilometers on the roads of Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, and Netherlands in ten days. This chance to see the far abroad for the first time was granted me by The Day and its business partners. It was my award for winning the photo contest this newspaper conducts annually and hopefully will conduct in the future. However, taking part in the contest is itself an honor for the photo artists, since it attracts broad response from various audiences. And I have received this fascinating trip as a bonus. I spent almost four days in the French capital: the Louvre, Notre Dame, Fontainebleau, Versailles, and Montmartre. They say, see Paris and die. I would paraphrase; see Paris and learn how to live enjoying every day. I could speak volumes about what I saw, but better take a look at the photos.

The special prize, a ten day tour by Europe, was presented by Arteks 94 Ltd. Tourist Company. Follow the newspaper: we will announce the conditions for our new contest soon.
