The 19th international art event takes place at the Palace of Arts (17 Kopernyka Street). There is art on display in every hall of the three-storey building, created by about three hundred authors from Ukraine, Norway, France, Belarus, Armenia, and Poland. In general, the organizers emphasize, the annual exhibition-contest “The High Castle,” has become a genuine platform for creative collaboration and mutual exchange of experience, ideas, and thoughts between artists and the audience. For the fifth consecutive year, the first floor of the Palace of Arts is taken by the “Ukrainian Poster in Lviv 2015,” an all-Ukrainian exhibition-contest of political, social, and cultural advertisement. The second and third floors display a selection of artworks of different genres, techniques, and themes. Since the art is a reflection of reality, the most topical issue, spoken between the artists and the audience, is the one of war and its consequences, the emotions and feelings that accompany it... A separate noteworthy display is a memorial exhibition of Vasyl Fedoruk, artist from Lviv who recently died under tragic circumstances. The festival will continue through December 6, and the closing ceremony will see the best artists of “The High Castle,” as well as of the poster exhibition, awarded by the jury.
